God threads together a few verses here on receiving good correction.\u00a0 Many athletes on a high school level have trouble in playing college and some in college miss the pros because of their inability to accept correction.\u00a0 They are good at their sport but they are complete in themselves and refuse to take advice from others.\u00a0 They are prideful! \u00a0In basketball LeBron James is the best at basketball today.\u00a0 However, in the off season you will hear him talking with others about working on aspects of his game.\u00a0 Why would he do that if he is the best?\u00a0 Because there is always room to gain knowledge and to improve, yes always!\u00a0 Verse one tells us you\u2019re stupid if you do not receive correction, don\u2019t be stupid.\u00a0 I know some will be mad about me using this word but hey, God wants to be clear and some will not take a hint.<\/p>\n
Verse 15 helps us with the attitude of pride and that pride is described as being \u201ca fool is right in his own eyes\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 Is this not what we hear from many young people today when they say \u201clove me the way I am\u201d?\u00a0 NO! NO! NO!\u00a0 I will love the unchangeable qualities, but if you\u2019re lacking understanding please receive some counsel and become a better person for the glory of God and our sanity.<\/p>\n
