This chapter mentions training up our children in the way of the Lord.\u00a0 First in verse 6 there is an assumption that there is a way.\u00a0 Parents must learn and know the way so that they can show and live out the way for their children to see and experience.\u00a0 Our children do not need to know about God as much as they need to know God.<\/p>\n
This is reinforced in verse 15 when we are told to drive out the foolishness by the rod.\u00a0 Discipline correctly applied is designed by God.\u00a0 When one does wrong, or acts rebellious, correction must be applied.
