Last week was youth camp; continue to keep our young people in prayer.\u00a0 Pray that they will truly see God.\u00a0 A relationship with church or a youth group should bring us into a place to see God and have a deep walk and relationship with the true and living God.\u00a0 Camp works because we can remove the objects that take our attention away from walking with and worshiping God. Some of these \u201cthings\u201d in the way are not bad; they just get in the way of our time with God.\u00a0 As Paul said in the opening of this book, I pray for all of you.\u00a0 Are you praying for God to do work spiritually in your life and the life of your family?\u00a0 Maybe you just seek the blessings of God or \u201canswers\u201d to prayer which just means, \u201cGive me what I want!\u201d\u00a0 We need to seek God, and what He wants in our life.<\/p>\n
Be followers of us.\u00a0 They were followers of Paul?\u00a0 Does that seem odd? After all we should not follow men but God, right?\u00a0 Yes! However, we all need discipleship and therefore we need godly examples to follow.\u00a0 Check out your life and ask yourself; if someone followed me would they be following Christ? Your children need godly examples to follow.\u00a0 Many can teach their children sports, but not to pray.\u00a0 Many will drive hours to play or be entertained on vacation, but will not make time for a summer Bible Studies.\u00a0 We will spend money on video games, and shoes, but never purchase better study Bibles or notes.\u00a0 What do our lives point people to? Let us recommit our lives to be a life that someone can follow and in their walk with me they will glorify God.\u00a0 Turn from idols unto the living God as they did in Thessalonica.<\/p>\n
