Timothy is called to stand in the grace of God.\u00a0 We love grace being applied to us but we have difficulty applying God\u2019s grace to others.\u00a0 Sin should not be ignored but always remember grace is applied when repentance is rendered.\u00a0 We all have salvation by grace and have the ability to serve Christ because of grace.<\/p>\n
As we celebrate grace, don\u2019t lose sight of the fact that we are in a battle to stand for Christ.\u00a0 Verse 2 calls us to be faithful as we teach the word to others. Who will stand faithful?\u00a0 Verse 3 we are told to stand as a good soldier who is prepared to endure hardships.\u00a0 Verse 4 and following calls us to sacrifice anything that will distract us from the war.\u00a0 Wait, we are in a war?!\u00a0 All I wanted was grace and forgiveness, not a battle.\u00a0 Because of God\u2019s grace Satan desires to destroy us so God will not receive any glory from our lives.\u00a0 We have the ability because of grace to bring glory to God, but when we do not stand for Christ, Satan robs God of that glory.\u00a0 You and I to Satan are insignificant, the only thing the devil desires is to embarrass God.\u00a0 However, don\u2019t ever forget God desires to benefit our lives through bringing glory to His name.\u00a0 God cares for you and loves you.\u00a0 This was demonstrated by the sacrifice of His Son on the cross for YOU.<\/p>\n
