{"id":4125,"date":"2014-12-05T10:43:01","date_gmt":"2014-12-05T16:43:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/?p=4125"},"modified":"2014-12-05T10:43:01","modified_gmt":"2014-12-05T16:43:01","slug":"genesis-chapter-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/?p=4125","title":{"rendered":"Genesis Chapter 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Genesis.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4114\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Genesis.jpg?resize=200%2C150\" alt=\"Genesis\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>As we read chapter 5 of Genesis we see the descendants of Adam.\u00a0 Today we cannot put ourselves in their life span.\u00a0 They lived over 900 years!\u00a0 Methuselah is mentioned who is the oldest person in the Bible at 969 years.\u00a0 Life was different in the beginning of time.\u00a0 My favorite person in the Old Testament is mentioned in verses 21-24.\u00a0 We see a man named Enoch who lived to be 365 years old.\u00a0 This man walked with God each and every day.\u00a0 God and Enoch had such a close relationship that God \u201ctook him\u201d.\u00a0 God allowed Enoch to walk out of this world into the next.
