\"Genesis\"<\/a>Rape is always wrong.\u00a0 The Hivites did not have much of a moral issue with it, nor did they show any remorse when they came to Jacob.\u00a0 Shechem wanted her, and that is all that mattered to them.\u00a0 My youth director years ago would always remind us that at 2am<\/span>nothing good happens.\u00a0 It was his way of saying if you\u2019re in and around the bar at closing, bad things could happen.\u00a0 Dinah was hanging around the wrong people and the wrong places, which does not justify what happened<\/span>, but it sure increased the probability of something wrong taking place.<\/p>\n

Dinah\u2019s brothers where angry, and desired to take revenge for their sister.\u00a0 So they made a deceitful agreement, and had the men be circumcised.\u00a0 On the third day when the pain was the greatest they attacked, killing all the men and taking all the spoils.\u00a0 Nowhere does the scriptures condone this nor does God praise this attack.\u00a0 This is a recorded event in the history of Israel.\u00a0 Too many times people make doctrines and truths out of events that may or may not be written for that purpose.\u00a0 It happened.\u00a0 On the other side it was pretty mean, yet effective.<\/p>\n

Be aware of where you are living.\u00a0 Stay closer to the things of God than to the temptations of the world.
