Add
a New User:
I. First, log onto the church website: http://www.mbcnewhaven.com
II. Then, Click the “User” option on the lower left tool bar.

III. The “User” menu should drop down. Next, click “Add New”

IV. Enter the Information for the New user
a. User Name: use the person’s first and last name
b. Email: full email address must be used, double check for errors
c.
Password: uses the person’s first and last name
with no capitals and not spaces (ie Mark West = markwest, Diane Hoerstkamp = dianehoerstkamp)

(Note: the
password strength will be weak, but this is only the temporary password.)
e.
Enter the Password again to ensure you have typed
it right. The password box will not match until the full password is typed in.
Do not let the “Mismatch” box distract you until the password is fully entered
a second time.
V.
The last thing you need to do is select a
“Role” for the User. Click the drop down box at the bottom and a list should
pop up. Most Users will either be Authors or Contributors.

Different Roles:
i.
Administrator - Somebody who has access to all the
administration features
ii.
Editor - Somebody who can
publish and manage posts and pages as well as manage other users' posts, etc.
iii.
Author -
Somebody who can publish and manage their own posts
iv.
Contributor -
Somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish them
v.
Subscriber -
Somebody who can only manage their profile. A
subscriber will get post updates emailed to them.
VI. Finally, click the “Add User” button and the information will be emailed to them.
