I hope everyone is making time to read daily.\u00a0 I hope we are finding more time to pray and think on the things of God daily.\u00a0 I know as we do this we will create the mind of God and see the ways of Jesus Christ.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Today we start with a warning.\u00a0 We receive a warning to try (to test and examine) the Spirit, and to be aware that there are false teachers.\u00a0 Anyone who denies the death, burial and resurrection of Christ should be avoided.\u00a0 Anyone who does not believe Jesus was God should be avoided.\u00a0 Where we receive our teaching is very important.\u00a0 What we use as the foundation for truth is very important.\u00a0 One of the ways we test the Spirit is by the Word of God.\u00a0 The Spirit will guide us in all truth and anything against the Word is not of the Spirit of God.<\/p>\n

Good news!\u00a0 We have overcome the world.\u00a0 Through the Spirit which is in every believer we have overcome the world and can live in His Spirit and live out His Word.<\/p>\n

Having the love of God in us produces a love of God towards others.\u00a0 If there is hate in our hearts we have suppressed the love of God.\u00a0 The love of God is perfected (made complete, or does it\u2019s finished work) in us as we understand how God has loved us.\u00a0 There is no greater love than God becoming flesh and taking upon Himself your sins and mine.\u00a0 When we grow and understand this grace our love for others should grow.<\/p>\n

The people of God should be people of love.\u00a0 The people of God should be people who sacrifice for others.\u00a0 The people of God should be people who care for the things of God more than the things of this world.\u00a0 But this does not happen by natural forces but by growing in the knowledge of God\u2019s love and by growing in His Spirit.\u00a0 What I mean by growing in His Spirit is allowing more of the Spirit to have you.<\/p>\n

This is a powerful book to help us learn to break free from the elements of this world and daily embrace the holiness of God.\u00a0 I am thankful you are reading and we are growing together in Christ.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow\u00a0we will finish the book of 1 John and continue the next day into 2 John.\u00a0 We will read the entire book of 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0John.<\/p>\n
