We just settled if a person should be circumcised for salvation and the answer was no, and now Timothy goes and gets circumcised.\u00a0\u00a0Timothy did not get circumcised for salvation but to be accepted into the Synagogue.\u00a0\u00a0They knew that Timothy\u2019s father was a Greek and his mother was a Jew.\u00a0\u00a0This cultural move allowed him to teach with Paul in their Synagogue.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Do not lose sight that they did give the decrees from the Apostles on how they should act as a Christian.\u00a0\u00a0There should be some do\u2019s and some do not\u2019s for believers.\u00a0\u00a0Because of this the churches were strengthened and grew.\u00a0Timothy\u2019s actions and their teachings were done for the purpose of glorifying God and reaching people with the gospel of Christ.\u00a0\u00a0What does your actions and words do for the growth of God\u2019s Church?<\/p>\n
