I see three key thoughts in this chapter.<\/p>\n
First, the Christians where accused of turning the world upside down.\u00a0 What do you think it meant for Christianity to have turned their world upside down?\u00a0 I think it meant those that came to Christ challenged everything.\u00a0 They challenged what they believed about God, and what it meant to be saved.\u00a0 It challenged how they lived for now their lives revolved around Christ.\u00a0 It was confrontational by nature; you cannot hear the gospel and walk away the same.\u00a0 If you receive it, you\u2019re called to follow.\u00a0 If we reject Christ we find ourselves knowing we are condemned, at least according to the Christians.\u00a0 Let\u2019s turn our world upside down.<\/p>\n
Second, the Christians searched the scriptures.\u00a0 They wanted to know the truth so that they could better follow Christ.\u00a0 Verse eleven also said they received with readiness of mind.\u00a0 They had a mind willing to accept what God wanted and were going to live out what they learned.\u00a0 We should read, ready to do, ready to believe and follow God\u2019s instructions. Do you have a ready mind or one closed off by religion, tradition, education, family or anything else?\u00a0 The answer is yes! Our minds must be opened by God\u2019s Spirit and God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 Romans 12:1,2 explains that our minds need to be renewed.<\/p>\n
Third, the Christians should help those seeking \u201cgod\u201d find the true and living God.\u00a0 Too many believe in an \u201cunknown\u201d god and need to be introduced to the true and living God.\u00a0 Jesus wants us to know Him, as believers Christ call us friends.\u00a0 As a friend of God we are told everything and as God\u2019s friend we should follow everything He tells us.<\/p>\n
