There is a fascinating accusation of Paul where Tertullus speaks to what Paul supposedly believes.\u00a0 This has happened to me before when a group of people stood and stated what I believed, which was nothing that I believed.\u00a0 When I was asked, I explained I did not believe that way and gave witnesses to how I acted in contradiction to how they accused me of believing.\u00a0 However, the group answered, so and so said you believe this way.\u00a0 People will believe what they want to believe.\u00a0 With this in mind live as Paul did in verse 16 \u201cto have always a conscience void of offence towards God, and toward men.\u201d\u00a0 We should live right before God and before men, and when we fail, seek forgiveness and make restitution for the wrong that has been done.\u00a0 I hope you noticed I said when we fail, because we will, so don\u2019t be surprised when it happens.\u00a0 No one is perfect but we should live with a conscience that is clear before God, He knows our secret sins, and before man our visible sins.\u00a0 Paul did not get miraculously set free and after two years Paul was still bound even though there was not a case against him.\u00a0 I wonder if Paul was looking for a Peter moment.\u00a0 Or do you think Paul was okay with creating his own moments with God?<\/p>\n
