The birth of Jesus Christ is the game changer; no other religious belief system has God coming to earth to be sacrificed for their sins.\u00a0 This is a step of love for all humanity showing how humans are God\u2019s crowning creation on earth.\u00a0 God did not come to redeem a dog or any other domestic animal we think of as family, but He came for you and me.\u00a0 There is way too much in social media about saving some wild animal or some stray dogs in Russia as if they are on the same level of creation as we are.\u00a0 Never lose sight that Christ came for you and me.<\/p>\n
In Matthew the \u201cwise men\u201d seek Jesus.\u00a0 At this time Jesus is older and they are living in a house there in Bethlehem.\u00a0 Herod, who does not want any other king taking over his kingdom, seeks out Jesus, not to worship as the \u201cwise men\u201d do, but to destroy any idea of another king.\u00a0 Who are you more like in your life today?\u00a0 Do you seek Jesus to worship?\u00a0 Are you willing to allow Jesus to sit on the throne of your life as King of Kings and Lord of Lords?\u00a0 This is the real battle everyday of our lives.\u00a0 Too many of us only seek Jesus to benefit our personal kingdoms.\u00a0 We are more like Herod, who sought to destroy the authority of God so that he could remain king.\u00a0 Herod was willing to kill all the babies in the region so that Jesus could not become king.<\/p>\n
