{"id":1321,"date":"2014-04-07T10:17:19","date_gmt":"2014-04-07T15:17:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/?p=1321"},"modified":"2014-04-07T12:37:34","modified_gmt":"2014-04-07T17:37:34","slug":"judge-fairly-and-equally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/?p=1321","title":{"rendered":"Judge Fairly and Equally"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Matthew Chapter 7<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">We start out our reading today with the most misquoted verse in our culture today.\u00a0\u00a0We are not told not to judge at all but to judge fairly and equally.\u00a0\u00a0The story is of a person who has a beam in his eye and he complains and strives to help remove a small speck from someone else\u2019s eye.\u00a0\u00a0Right after talking about judging, verse 6 tells us not to cast pearl before swine.\u00a0\u00a0There are some people who will not accept truth.\u00a0\u00a0We continue to love defiant people.\u00a0\u00a0However, there is a time to move on and leave someone to their own folly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Ask, seek and knock and God will answer and bless us.\u00a0\u00a0The illustration compares our earthly father\u2019s kindness to how our heavenly Father treats us.\u00a0\u00a0We should ask God for His will but also for the desires of our heart.\u00a0\u00a0I want God to be glorified by my life, but I would also like His blessings on my life.\u00a0\u00a0The key in scripture seems to be our efforts to follow Him.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Treat others as you want to be treated!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Make sure your destination for eternity is heaven.\u00a0\u00a0We have only one way and it is not the popular way, but the road less traveled.\u00a0\u00a0There are false prophets to deceive and mask the destructive road.\u00a0\u00a0The narrow way produces fruit that brings honor and glory to God.\u00a0\u00a0Make sure the road produces fruit that is rooted and grounded in God\u2019s Word which is truth.\u00a0\u00a0The false road has good intentions but at the conclusion of life\u2019s journey you will hear Christ say depart from me.\u00a0\u00a0The road you choose has an eternal impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Lastly, how are you building your life?\u00a0\u00a0Is it on the teachings of Christ or is it on the sands of foolishness.\u00a0Everything taught in God\u2019s Word are building blocks to help us to have a successful life for His glory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">This is the end of Christ&#8217;
