The parable of the soils in Matthew, chapter 13 should cause us to pray for spiritual understanding.\u00a0 The most frustrating things in church life are people without spiritual sight who strive to operate the church as a club or charity without consideration to God\u2019s Word nor the leading of God\u2019s Spirit.\u00a0 We are to seek God and not allow our hearts to grow dull.\u00a0 Remember there is the wicked one striving to eliminate the growth of God\u2019s Word, which is the seed.<\/p>\n
Pray for understanding so the seed does not fall on the wayside.<\/p>\n
Allow God\u2019s Word to take root in your life, by removing the stones.\u00a0 Stones are anything in our life that hinders growth.<\/p>\n
Watch out for thorns!\u00a0 Thorns are cares or anything in this world that causes pain when we serve Christ.\u00a0 Having to choose between the things of God and the cares of the world become painful when our priorities are not right.\u00a0 Many people would love to do the things of God but there are thorns that cause them pain every time they make the right moves.<\/p>\n
