Matthew 18 – verses 1-14<\/p>\n
Who will be the greatest in Heaven?\u00a0 The disciples wanted to know who would be the head, next to Christ of course.\u00a0 To answer the question Jesus brings in a small child.\u00a0 He tells them unless one surrenders and believes like a child they cannot even enter heaven.\u00a0 The simple faith of a child is all it takes to bring salvation.\u00a0 A child quickly realizes their need for help, most of the time.\u00a0 Salvation \u2013 we \u00a0cannot do it on our own.\u00a0 We need to repent and turn from self to Christ.\u00a0 Secondly we need to believe.\u00a0 Believe Jesus is God and He did die on the cross for the payment for my sins.\u00a0 That is salvation; it is by grace are we saved through faith and that not of ourselves.\u00a0 Have you believed?<\/p>\n
I want you to know first Jesus is not talking totally about real children, but at the same time He is.\u00a0 Yes there is a message of treating children as a gift from God. \u00a0But the real \u201cchildren\u201d here are newly converted Christians that need to be accepted into the body.\u00a0 Now on the other hand we do not want to offend or break the faith of a real child either.\u00a0 Christ said it is better to remove an eye than to let that eye bring you down to Hell.\u00a0 This is of course not meaning to pluck out your real eye but what your eye looks upon that hinders you from coming to Christ.\u00a0 Help bring the lost and then disciple the new ones in Christ.\u00a0 This is why Jesus has come.<\/p>\n
