{"id":3361,"date":"2014-09-25T09:28:01","date_gmt":"2014-09-25T14:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/?p=3361"},"modified":"2014-09-25T09:28:21","modified_gmt":"2014-09-25T14:28:21","slug":"revelation-chapter-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/?p=3361","title":{"rendered":"Revelation Chapter 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/revelation.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3339\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/revelation-300x200.jpg?resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"revelation\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>The angels are messengers and can be seen as the pastor or messenger of each church. \u00a0As pastor it is my spiritual duty to strive to walk with God and hear from God on the direction of our church. \u00a0This is the heavy burden of the pastor who will give account for the spiritual condition of the church God has placed him over. \u00a0Sometimes all the pastor can do is warn and pray that the people heed the warning from God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first church has the problem of leaving their first love. \u00a0There was no longer an excitement and joy over salvation and their relationship with God. \u00a0May we never get over the great love God has for us and the sacrifice He made for our redemption. \u00a0The second church (some see these as stages churches have gone through) has persecution. \u00a0Any church today that holds to the Word of God will have some persecution. \u00a0You and I will see persecution if we live out God\u2019s Word. \u00a0The third church finds themselves compromising. \u00a0Sometimes when there is persecution we want peace over truth. \u00a0There is no way to compromise on \u201cthus sayeth the Lord.\u201d \u00a0After compromise you see the fourth church being corrupt, doing things against God\u2019s Word. \u00a0Please note they all are doing some good, so that they can justify their actions. \u00a0They may say; \u201cpeople are coming to Christ.\u201d Or \u201cwe are sharing God\u2019s love\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Verse 25 and 26 encourages us to hold on until the end!
