{"id":929,"date":"2014-01-12T15:38:17","date_gmt":"2014-01-12T21:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/?p=929"},"modified":"2014-01-12T15:38:17","modified_gmt":"2014-01-12T21:38:17","slug":"john-chapter-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/?p=929","title":{"rendered":"John Chapter 12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">A few days later Jesus is having dinner with Lazarus and Mary.\u00a0\u00a0 Mary, who was upset at Jesus, now anointed His feet with very expensive oil.\u00a0 The Jesus, who showed up \u201clate\u201d was now a well invited guest at the dinner table.\u00a0 Don\u2019t base Jesus on emotions or what you think He should or should not\u00a0have done in your life.\u00a0 Base your relationship on the sure understanding that Christ is Lord, the Son of God who is equal with God.\u00a0 Christ deserves our worship for that reason alone.\u00a0\u00a0<!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Notice that many came to Jesus because of Lazarus being brought back to life.\u00a0 What sacrifice for God\u2019s glory are we willing to make for others to be saved?\u00a0 It is sad that if someone even talks a little bad towards us we shut up and blend in.\u00a0 God wants to use you and me to win many to Christ, let His glory shine in you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Jesus has this triumphal entry into the city.\u00a0 Almost everyone is praising Him and desires for Him to be King.\u00a0 Yet some do not want this new ruler.\u00a0 Both parties involved were seeking their own way.\u00a0\u00a0 Jesus teaches that they must lose their lives for the cause of God\u2019s glory.\u00a0 Jesus even had to surrender to God\u2019s purpose.\u00a0 Verse 43 said many did not want to follow Christ because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.\u00a0 That is the question for us today; do we desire God to be glorified in us or man\u2019s praises?\u00a0 Do we want to be big in this world or do we desire to be great in God\u2019s Kingdom?\u00a0 The tangible seems to draw us way too many times from the Spiritual.\u00a0 The desire to live a normal life with a title of Christian seems to be just okay.\u00a0 I am a good person and I am a Christian, therefore I am loved by those without and those within the Church.\u00a0 Yes the world should have nothing to say against us, other than that we are consumed by Christ.
