Let not your heart be troubled.\u00a0 Our hearts automatically become troubled.\u00a0 We have been in the state of worry for minutes before we acknowledge it.\u00a0 Very quickly we proceed deep into the mire of being troubled.\u00a0\u00a0 So be on guard for troubled waters in your heart.\u00a0 When you perceive a small ripple of concern, remind yourself that you trust in the true and living God.\u00a0 Remind yourself that Jesus Christ Himself has and is preparing a place for me.\u00a0 Jesus is coming back for me!\u00a0 Jesus is going to take me to be with Him for all eternity.\u00a0 So trouble, you\u2019re not welcome in my life.\u00a0 Trouble, you are so temporary, and my\u00a0 relationship with God is eternal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trust Jesus for salvation for He is the only way, and\u00a0trust in Him alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trust Jesus to walk with you and answer your prayers.\u00a0 Trust Jesus to do greater works than Christ.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because we have this relationship and we love God, verse 15 tells us we will keep His commandments.\u00a0 To help us keep His ways God is sending us a Comforter, The Holy Spirit of God.\u00a0 This Comforter will abide in us!\u00a0 This is our real power to break free from a troubled heart.\u00a0 We\u00a0are troubled more when we live a disobedient life, for we know the blessings of God and our prayers are hindered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

John continues and explains that if we really love God not only do we desire to keep His commandments but also His Word, verses 23, 24.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We need to believe in Christ, rely on His Word, trust in His Spirit, and rest in His peace.\u00a0 In these elements of Christ we find the ability to not let our hearts be troubled.\u00a0 In this power we find strength not to let our hearts be afraid.\u00a0 Think on these gifts from God to enable us to walk with Him.\u00a0 Ask yourself if you are allowing the full benefits of Christ and salvation to captivate your life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You and I as believers have power to be a disciple of Christ.\u00a0 Are you willing to be all in and watch God work?\u00a0 Today surrender every trouble, every fear, every disobedient action to His commandments and His Word.\u00a0 The Spirit of God will take over for you, and God will be able to do greater things.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
