{"id":936,"date":"2014-01-15T09:23:34","date_gmt":"2014-01-15T15:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/?p=936"},"modified":"2014-01-15T09:23:34","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T15:23:34","slug":"john-chapter-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/?p=936","title":{"rendered":"John Chapter 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I pray you are enjoying the bread of life, taking in daily spiritual nutrition.\u00a0 Your faith is being strengthened by this the very Word of God.\u00a0 God is filling you and transforming you, each and every time you take in His Word.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter 15 starts with us abiding in Christ.\u00a0 To rest fully in our relationship with Christ.\u00a0 Do not allow yourself to become disturbed by the situations of life, but rest in our wonderful relationship with God.\u00a0 Now we can intellectually talk about a relationship and discuss the properties and function of a relationship, and still miss the understanding of a relationship.\u00a0<!--more--> I feel too many can explain the components, but they have never enjoyed the fellowship of a relationship with Christ.\u00a0 For example I can tell you how wonderful it is to have children.\u00a0 (Most of the time) I can explain their activities and how we interact with one another.\u00a0 But there is no way to explain the day you hold your child that very first time.\u00a0 There are emotions and feelings as well as fears and wonders that just come on you when you hear this is your baby.\u00a0 It is unexplainable!\u00a0 Don\u2019t settle for a text book relationship, but seek to truly abide in Christ.\u00a0 You need to feel that awe of knowing He is your Savior, God and Redeemer.\u00a0 You need to experience that awe of knowing you are safe in the arms of God\u2019s eternal grace.\u00a0 When you get there, everything else disappears and the true and living God is all you can see.<\/p>\n<p>Notice the same key as in yesterday\u2019s reading in Chapter 14.\u00a0 Verse 10, if you keep my commandments you will abide in my love.\u00a0 By following God\u2019s direction for our lives His joy remains in us.\u00a0 God also considered us His friend as we keep His commandments.\u00a0 That is a relationship God desires, one where we know He is real, and because He is God all is surrendered to Him.\u00a0 You will be blessed in this relationship with the living God.\u00a0 I know you have heard that God accepts me for me.\u00a0 My question is,\u00a0are you accepting God as He is?\u00a0 God is holy,\u00a0just, loving, wrathful, caring, and longsuffering to name a few.\u00a0 But do you accept God the way He is, or have you created a more acceptable God so He fits your life.<\/p>\n<p>Through this relationship there is fruit produced in our lives.\u00a0 God glorifying fruit, for He is the vine causing this fruit to come out of our lives.\u00a0 We will have fruit that may cause the world to hate us, yes HATE.\u00a0 Why?
