Today we reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was scourged:\u00a0 Beaten and flogged.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A crown of thorns was put on His head.<\/span><\/p>\n

After this Pilate tries to save Jesus.\u00a0 Pilate looks at God, looks into the eyes of the incarnation of God; he looks into the eyes of Jesus Christ and tells Him that he has power to let Him go.\u00a0 How humorous that a mere man thinks he is in control of anything.\u00a0 Christ clears the air and lets Pilate know that any power or authority is granted and permitted by God.\u00a0\u00a0 How humorous that we think we can control our health, our day\u2019s activities, and even when we are to die.\u00a0 Nothing is in our control!\u00a0 I can only say if it be God\u2019s will I will awake in the morning.\u00a0 It is only by the permission of God that I am able to eat, breath and walk.\u00a0 God holds everything together including you and me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus carried the cross, my cross, and your cross to\u00a0Golgotha.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus cared for His mother.\u00a0 In all His pain Christ still took care of others.\u00a0 When Christ was on that cross, I was on His mind.\u00a0 When Christ was on that cross you were on His mind.\u00a0 How wonderful it is to have God think about you and me.\u00a0 Thank you Jesus for thinking of me while on the cross, and taking upon you my sins.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus suffered for us and died after declaring \u201cit is finished\u201d.\u00a0 Our sins have been atoned for.\u00a0 My sins are paid in full, are yours?<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t miss verse 39, Nicodemus who could not understand in chapter 3 gets it!\u00a0 Nicodemus got a hold of the meaning you must be born again.\u00a0 For Nicodemus, a religious teacher of the Jews, to take Jesus off the cross was a statement of transformation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus was placed in the tomb having died for your sins and mine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
