{"id":949,"date":"2014-01-20T10:40:10","date_gmt":"2014-01-20T16:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/wp\/?p=949"},"modified":"2014-01-20T10:40:10","modified_gmt":"2014-01-20T16:40:10","slug":"john-chapter-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mbcnewhaven.com\/?p=949","title":{"rendered":"John Chapter 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Now on the first day of the week!\u00a0 I love the first day of the week!\u00a0 We meet on Sundays, the first day of the week because of this next event.\u00a0 Why would you miss any service\u00a0on Sunday\u00a0to celebrate something deemed more important that the celebration of this next event.\u00a0 This next event changed everything, and if you\u2019re a Christian it changed everything for you.\u00a0 Now, after Jesus was in the grave three days.\u00a0 Now, after Jesus was guarded in the tomb so no one could take His body.\u00a0 Now, Mary Magdalene goes to the tomb.\u00a0 She saw the stone was rolled away!\u00a0 This was not to let Jesus out but to let us in to see the empty tomb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">The disciples go to the tomb.\u00a0 They are frustrated and think that someone had taken the body of Jesus.\u00a0 But two angels appear to set the record straight.\u00a0 They ask the question, why are you weeping?\u00a0 Then she turns and the person, who she believes to be the gardener ask, why are you weeping?\u00a0\u00a0 She wants to know where they took Jesus and the \u201cgardener\u201d speaks and calls her name, Mary.\u00a0 When Jesus calls your name, you are made more alive than ever.\u00a0 Jesus who was dead is now alive!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">The disciples are having a meeting later and Jesus shows up.\u00a0 Jesus not only shows up but gives them all the power of the Holy Ghost.\u00a0 Now, one of the disciples, Thomas, was not there.\u00a0 Thomas would not believe Jesus showed up unless he got to see Jesus.\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss a church service because you may miss the one where the Spirit of God falls and Jesus shows up in a big way.\u00a0 There are some things in life that cannot be repeated.\u00a0 I anticipate God to show up in a big way every service, every time we meet.
