Listening to a message last week on the value of God\u2019s Word, the speaker gave this challenge to his congregation, and I make the same challenge with you.\u00a0 Spend 30 minutes per day in God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 Make God\u2019s Word in your life a priority.\u00a0 30 minutes for 30 days will change your perspective and empower your Christian walk.<\/p>\n
We go through three seasons of reading God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 First we must be determined to read it. We read that in Joshua last week.\u00a0 They were commanded to meditate in it day and night.\u00a0 Yes it is work because our flesh, the non-spiritual part of us, does not want to take in God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 But if you will be determine to do it for 30 days you will transform the way you approach God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 This is the determination part of reading God\u2019s Word, and it is work.<\/p>\n
The second season is where you desire God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 You cannot make it through your day without spending time in His Word, your Bible.\u00a0 The Spirit is now in more control of your life than the flesh.<\/p>\n
The third season is delighting in God\u2019s Word.\u00a0 You just rejoice in the things of God and God just speaks to you almost every time you open the pages.\u00a0\u00a0 I want to stay in the place of delighting in God Word, but it is difficult because we battle against this old flesh that desires to take in fleshly things.\u00a0\u00a0 Romans\u00a07:22\u00a0\u201cFor I\u00a0delight\u00a0in\u00a0the law of God after the inward man:\u201d<\/p>\n
What season are you in?\u00a0 Travel through the seasons of Bible reading and see how God speaks and uses you for His kingdom as His disciple.\u00a0 I guarantee the glory of God will shine and you will be amazed in how God uses you.<\/p>\n
Today re-read portions of John chapter 1, and take in God\u2019s truth, or catch up and spend time finishing the book of John.\u00a0 Regardless of where you are\u00a0it’s okay.\u00a0 We are\u00a0being transformed and changed by the true and living God.\u00a0 Spiritually eat up and allow your soul to be satisfied in Christ.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow\u00a0we will re-read John chapter 3, think about the very last verse and what that means.<\/p>\n
