Verses 1-13 – Jesus waited on His time.  There is a time for everything, and we need to wait on the right timing.  I think this is the hardest thing for most of us to do.  Waiting on the Lord is active and doing something.  We are receiving the right information, and the right power.

Verses 14-24 – Jesus teaches with depth and authority.  When you are the author of the subject it is not difficult to get it.  Get to know the author of the Bible!  The Spirit of God will help us understand the book better.

Jesus said, “Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment”.   Are we to judge?  Wait, is that really bible?  Yes we are to judge but not be judgmental.  Judge according to God’s Word and it will be a righteous judgment.  I am not judging you by my preferences but by God precepts.

You as a Christian have the Spirit of God in you.  The Spirit satisfies your thirst, verse 37, 38, and that Spirit shall flow out of you.  We should speak Christ naturally to help others quench their spiritual thirst.

Verse 46 – “Never a man spoke as this man”.  Remember this phrase as we celebrate Christ.  There was no one like Him.  If you search history past in the BC’s there is no one like Christ.  If you search history in the AD’s there is no one like Christ.  As we venture into the future there will be no one like Christ.  This is why God’s Word is so important; no one spoke like this man!
