Mark Chapter 3

Jesus heals everyone and gave His twelve apostles power to preach, and to heal everyone.  The healings gave legitimacy to Christ, it showed His power.  I know we want all of this to happen today, but there is nowhere in scripture that indicates this will happen.  I know the verse that comes to mind your mind, where Jesus said greater works we should do.  Jesus did not give specific meaning to what those greater works will be.  I do believe God can and does heal, but the works was a sign, today the greater work we can have is a true and deeper relationship with God.  Through the Holy Spirit in our lives today God does a work.  The Spirit moves in our lives for His glory and for the advancement of His Kingdom and church.  Today, you and I can have a relationship with the full God-head.  As you read about all the works Christ did in the first century don’t lose sight of verse 35, where Christ said we are His family if we do the will of God.  There is no greater work than to be part of God’s Kingdom during this period called the Church age.  This morning, even though it is 1:10am, God is up and I can read His Word, Hear His voice and I can be before His throne.  Prior to the cross and the blood of Christ this would not have been possible.  But today I am a child of God, and I am able to have this wonderful awe filled walk with the creator of the universe.  I am and you can be this greater work!
