God desires us to walk with Him and have a relationship with Him. God has given us the gift of Salvation but salvation is the starting point not the finish line. The church’s 5K had a start line, no one (I wanted to) took one step off the start line and said praise God I did this 5K. No we all progressed to the finish line enduring the hills and heat. It was awesome to have people cheering, directing us, and encouraging us as we were hydrated and instructed on how much further to go. Jesus wants us to journey with Him not just “accept salvation”. The church must encourage and cheer one another on as we continue to instruct one another on the way we must live for Christ.
Jesus feeds thousands again with seven loaves and a few fish. Later Jesus was teaching about the “leaven” meaning the teaching of the Pharisees. They thought Jesus was upset that they did not pack lunch! Jesus does not need to PACK A LUNCH! He created everything with a spoken word; do you not understand the wonderful relationship God calls us to? Just surrender what you have and what you have will be enough as God uses your gift and multiplies the resources for His glory. We always start out by giving out of what we have.
Jesus told the disciples they don’t understand; Lord Help us to understand. Jesus called Peter Satan; Lord Help us not to be about our ways (Satan’s), but about your ways.
Continue to get in the Word and allow your life to be surrendered to His Word and watch the power of God work as everything you have is enough for God to do great and wonderful things.
