To sum up this chapter that covers marriage, selling all, and not offending the children in the faith, is to live for God’s glory. God works in our life in a way that produces real joy and happiness. However, when we pursue what we perceive will make us happy or simple happiness is our goal, life falls apart. When we break the truths found in scripture to find happiness in any areas of our life true happiness will not be found. The simple process of losing our life in the love, grace and mercy of God brings a higher purpose of happiness rooted in the glory of God. It’s not MY LIFE, it is HIS LIFE, the new life given to me, that is our reality, and it is true reality. Everything in this temporary life will burn up, but all things lived in my eternal spiritual life will last for all eternity. Praying God helps me live a rewarded life and I pray that He will show that to you as well today.
