EphesiansPaul in verse 2 declares that what God has given him was for those at the church in Ephesus.  There was a greater purpose than Paul in his salvation.  Today we are part of Paul’s greater purpose by receiving the gospel of Christ.  You and I receiving the gospel is for a greater cause than just our personal redemption.

Paul even explains that the trouble we experience is for our glory! Which in turn brings glory to Christ and the gospel.  Get this point; all that we go through is not to bring us our desires, but to a deeper and greater relationship with God.  We are strengthened in the Spirit in verse 16.  We get deeper faith which is rooted in God’s love in verse 17.  We get to understand and know God’s love in verse 18 and 19.  We then get to see God work past all our expectations!  Paul said exceedingly, abundantly, above all we ask and think.  I love this, because I have a mind that can think of some outlandish ideas, and God said He exceeds that.  What a wonderful relationship God desires for us to have and grow in.  Are you ready for a life that is beyond anything experienced before?  Start today to walk in God’s Word and ways.
