HebrewsThis weekend we are looking at chapter six of Hebrews.  There is much going on at church this weekend so come be part of what God is doing in this local body of Christ called Memorial Baptist.  Your gifts (I am not speaking financial but you personally are needed as part of God’s family, but the money helps as well) are needed so we can live as Christ.

God cannot lie and we have this anchor of hope for the soul.  I am thinking of this verse of truth in Romans, “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.  When God makes a covenant with His people God does not break that covenant.  This is why we should celebrate our salvation which is as assured by our living God which cannot lie.  There is no possible way we can lose something given to us by an unchanging God.  Even if we did believe we could lose salvation the scripture here shows us there remains no more sacrifices to re-obtain salvation.  Another words the sacrifice of Christ can only be applied to our sins once, and if it does not take we cannot crucify Christ again.  This is why the theory of losing salvation does not make since for our hope is transferred from Christ to our own strengthen and ability to hold on.  My faith rest only in Christ and my eternal salvation is secured by God who has paid for it in full, and granted salvation with an unbreakable oath.  I hope you’re thankful for your salvation and the eternalness of your redemption.  Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!
