Satan controls Judas. This is a real event where Satan himself takes control of Judas. Satan does it here to make the deal and then later for the actual betraying of Jesus. Satan just thought he could do away with Jesus and His plan. Satan did not realize that he was part of God’s plan to redeem the world. There is no way Satan can win against a sovereign God. Even though Judas was part of an all knowing plan of our living God, it does not give an excuse or a license to do wrong. I lean towards God’s foreknowledge of Judas’ disposition of his choice and not a manipulation to make Judas choose.
We also see Peter denies Christ. Here Peter is blinded thinking that Jesus will be destroyed and the Kingdom of God will not come. This is where Satan works in our lives more then we think. We are blinded by this world and all that it offers. We forget about our purpose in the Kingdom of God. We are here to advance God’s Church and Kingdom by reaching the lost and discipling the saved. Jesus went through much pain and suffering to bring us into His family. Can we not resist the devil and work for His honor and glory?
God is using you to advance His Church at MBC! There is so much happening that makes the devil upset as we move forward to win the lost and encourage the body of Christ. Keep up the great work Church family.
