We are reading chapter 20 of Genesis today. What is up with Abraham? Here we see this man of God doing the same wrong task expecting, I am assuming, a different outcome. This is one reason I love scripture; it shares how real the people of God are. This is how you and I act way too often. Doing something over that we repented of before. We either have forgotten or just think it will work out different this time. It did work out by the way. God protected His covenant against the stupidity of Abraham and Sarah. Thank God for divine protection for His covenant people. All of us who are saved are part of the eternal covenant. Don’t do things to temp God, but praise God that, as His people we are kept from temptation and protected as we live for His glory.
