Today we are reading chapter 39 of Genesis. Today is the day God wants to use you mightily for His kingdom. Where you go, what you say, and what you do will change someone for His glory. Will you see it happen? Maybe, or maybe not. Your effect on His kingdom will be revealed in Heaven. Just live it out!
Joseph in verse 2 was a prosperous man. WHAT? He is sold into slavery by his brothers. Joseph is a servant! But God made him prosperous as a servant. Wow! Did you get that truth? Be prosperous where you are. You do not need to be anywhere else to be prosperous for God. Verse 21, The Lord is with Joseph. WHAT? He got favor in the sight of the prison keeper. How about a little favor and get me out of HERE! Lord, please, not my will. We may say this but Joseph lived it. Are you getting this? Our condition as a redeemed child of God is always sunny and bright, because this is the day the Lord has made. Now what made this perspective possible? Verse 9, how can I sin against God. Joseph stayed faithful to God for He is the true and living God. What God gave Joseph or did not give Joseph did not determine who God is. When we stay in tune with God’s ways and God’s Word, each day then belongs to Him. When we sin and live disobedient, each day will belong to you and His chastisement. Live in the “Sonny Days” and be blessed and favored by God.
