GenesisThis chapter is one where Jacob gives a prophecy concerning his children.  In this dying declaration, which by the way in Hebrew is written in more of a poetic form, Jacob tells them what they did, and what they will become.  For some children we see just consequences where others receive grace.  Some received a prophecy declaring how God is going to use them in a great way.  This is one thing you, and I must teach our children.  By the grace of God we can recover from sinful actions and be used by God.  But we may also be given over to the consequences of our actions.  Every decision is important, and will make a determination on our future.  Who we may date, or hang out with can determine future decisions.  How we study, and the seriousness of our studies could bring future consequences.  Not everything is repairable, and it is only by God’s grace we get a second chance.  God does call us His workmanship in Ephesians, which means He is determined to use us if we will let Him.
