Don’t play with God! Pharaoh agreed with God when life was tough. Pharaoh did not want God, he wanted relief from the plagues. But when Pharaoh was without trouble he refused God. God uses trouble to get us to refocus on Him. God uses trouble to get us to turn from sin, and back to obedience. So often we surrender all because what we have left is broken and worthless. When we are blessed, and have much to sacrifice we trust in the blessings instead of the one who blesses. See if this is not true in your life. Examine the patterns in your day and week to see if you trust the blessings or the “Blesser”. God is worthy of our sacrifice and service just because of who He is.
We need to serve, and follow God because HE IS GOD. How arrogant do we have to be to think God wants to negotiate with us? I need Jesus. Jesus does not need me. Jesus loves me, and desires to use me for the Father’s glory. It’s His love. His love is the only reason for grace. I have nothing to bring. Pharaoh is in the process of seeing the power of the Almighty God.
