This is such a hard chapter to comprehend. God is going to allow the first born of every family to be killed. I asked myself, why do I view this as a behavior that is unbecoming for a God? The answer I came up with is; I view man above God. Haven’t we become a god in our minds where God does everything for mankind? God could wipe out everyone today for the willful disobedience to Him, and be fully justified. The real story is, God spared the children of Israel. God had love, and grace upon His chosen people, and they were spared. When will we realize how serious life before God is? God is not doing some experiment with His creation. God is calling a people to honor, and serve Him. God desires a people that will surrender their lives to bring Him glory. Yes, this is a hard chapter, but please see the grace of a loving God. Also consider that you are His child if saved. God sees you, and I differently. We are different. We are part of His family. We are purchased by the blood of Christ.
