Paul is ready!
Paul is ready through salvation which he talks about at the start of each letter he writes.
Paul is ready to meet the Lord because he finished his course; Paul did what the Lord wanted.
Paul is ready in anticipation of a crown for being faithful and loving Christ’ appearing.
Paul charges Timothy to be ready to run his course, by being prepared to preach and teach the Word of God. Timothy was to be ready to share the gospel and stand on the truths of this gospel.
Are you ready? Are you ready to meet the Lord? Will you receive a crown or will you hide when the Lord returns? I know you can’t hide, but would you feel like hiding?
Everything is stripped away in death and/or at the Lord’s return. All of our priorities will be reviewed and all our reasons will seem inadequate. When we see Jesus we will wish we’d done more and walked in a faith that was deeper. One day you will see Jesus if you’re saved, so get ready. If you’re not ready to see Jesus repent, and receive His work on the cross as payment for your sins.
