God has given us liberty. We are set free from the law. The law is the idea in which by keeping these rules we obtain God’s favor or our salvation. We cannot keep the law, nonetheless we are free in Christ! We are set free from the deeds of the flesh, sin has no more control over us. Paul gives us a list of sins that manifest themselves when we walk in the flesh, our old nature. Paul also gives a list of behaviors that are expressed in our freedom which is experienced as we walk in the Spirit. Walk, which is to live in obedience to God’s Word, and God’s leading by the Spirit. As we grow in the knowledge of God we will grow in hearing and understanding the voice of God. Remember salvation is much more than a prayer said, but a transformed life lived in the power of God’s Spirit. Live in this wonderful liberty!
