We are going to read through this amazing book as a book of victory to encourage us. We are not going to spend time analyzing each word or verse. The theme for this book is “We Win!”
Jesus is the first and the last, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Jesus was before all things and will be here after all things are done. Jesus was before time and lives outside of time and His creation. Only the omniscient one can give a vision of how things are going to be. Think about this, God already knows our tomorrow and we can trust Him. There is no way to know why God allows sin to affect our lives. This side of time we will never know the whys of why some wicked crime was permitted to happen. But rest assured, God is in control. He was in control when all things were created. He is in control as creation plays out through its allotted time. He will remain in control as Christ comes to rule and reign in the new heaven and new earth. As we start this wonderful book of scripture rejoice that Jesus is on the throne. Rejoice that in the end we get to reign and rule with Him.
