The seventy that went out had power and many would love to see that power work through their lives. But Jesus said to not rejoice in the power but that your name is written in the Book of Life. Rejoicing in your salvation should never be down played. It is not like someone who won the World Series in 1985 and this has passed and become old. (By the way I am writing on Wednesday and I hope the Royals won last night) Salvation is about I have conquered and gained the victory. I live as one who is a champion in Christ! I am part of a dynasty purchased by the blood of Christ. In this God gives power to do His work. Just a quick side note: Many want to claim the power of the seventy but not many want to live day to day and from hand out to hand out. Especially in our culture where we live and save for the future (I am not saying that is bad).
Praise God for your redemption! Saved how I love to proclaim it, saved by the blood of the Lamb, saved through His infinite mercy, His child and forever I am. Have a great day in the power of your salvation.
