How valuable is your kingdom birthright? As children of God we are part of His eternal family, placed in it by the blood of Christ. We’re joint heirs with Jesus! This gives us special privileges from our heavenly Father. We have continual access and help in every situation. Yet, as Esau, we are willing to surrender this spiritual blessing to satisfy our temporary physical urges. As if we would really die physically and eternally without our worldly fix. Remember, as a new born child of God, that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Hold on to your birthright, and live in the power of God’s Spirit. You’re part of an amazing eternal kingdom, and family. This is why God calls us to fast, so we can break free from the world’s hold on us. We are also called to sacrifice our life as a living sacrifice, and to die daily to these desires of the flesh.
I am praying God allows us to see and experience the joy of living in the power of God’s Spirit. You’ll never want to go back when you taste and see how good the Lord really is.
