Verses 13 and 14 should be precious thoughts if we place God in where Jacob is. Jacob knows his people, his servants and his flock. Jacob wanted to go at a pace they could keep and not be destroyed. Most days when I find myself weak and broken are those days I forgot to follow God. Somehow God has gotten behind me, and I am going faster than I should. Somehow God has gone another way and I am not going in the direction that I should. Jesus said His yoke is easy. This means we must be connected to Christ in and through the power of His Spirit. We must be conversing with God through prayer and Bible reading. We must fellowship with others and let them pour godly direction into our lives. Maybe today you need to stop and see where God is, and get behind Him. Wait on the Lord and let Him renew your strength.
Let God lead and enjoy the ride from the backseat.
