God calls a leader, God prepares the people, God provides for the people, and God removes the obstacles out of the way of the people. This is how God desires to work in His people (The Church) today. Moses is told God’s name, which is more of a designation, “I Am That I Am. God is God, the only self-containing one who does not need a name like the false gods. Barnes tells us this: “I am what I am.” The words express absolute, and therefore unchanging and eternal Being.” As we live for Christ, following the ways of God’s Word we can be assured the plan of God is at work in our life. Follow God and allowing His glory to live through your life will bring His blessings. You’ll have some concerns, as Moses did, but live in God’s power and God’s assurances.
I write this thought with a prayerful heart for the family members of a friend who was part of our graduating class. He lived in Florida and I did not converse much after school with him. But to think that in a moment his life was taken by a massive heart attack. Life is a vapor, live for Jesus. It’s also a blessing to know He is with the Lord.
