Exodus-2God had to convince Moses, before Moses could convince the people.  Before anyone can lead anywhere there must be a direction one is committed to.  Are you fully persuaded in your mind who God is, and of your salvation?  Are you fully persuaded of the Spirit’s indwelling, and of your power in Christ?  Moses had heard from God, but it wasn’t enough for Moses to be committed to the plan. Why wasn’t God speaking out of a burning bush (which did not burn up) enough for Moses to be committed to the plan?   I think it may have been because the task seemed BIG, and scary.  We can trust God when it fits into our lifestyle.  The difficulties come when we hear God leading us to do something outside our comfort zone.  We must be fully persuaded by faith to move from our sedimentary position.  Moses was given these miracles to confirm his mission, and also confirm to the children of Israel Moses is legit.  However, Moses still brought up his public speaking skills.  So God allowed Aaron to be part of this plan as the mouth piece of Moses.  Why didn’t God just cut out the middle man who is now Moses?  Well God’s plan was to use Moses.  God worked with Moses until he surrendered to the task, and was ready to lead.  Today we should be people that trust God’s Word, and praise God that His plan includes us being connected to others.  We do not have to do it alone.  Find someone fully persuaded to help you in your walk with the Lord.  I can also promise you, that as you follow God, you will see the hand of God work in all your situations.  We have the call, so let’s get into the game.  God has spoken so let His people obey Him.
