It is good to hear how the church family is reading together. The reading of God’s Word will bring us into the mind of Christ. Reading God’s Word together will help bring our minds into unity in serving Christ. It is awesome to see God at work in you!
Jesus proclaims He is the only way. We need to meditate on that thought, Jesus is the door and there is no other entry way into a relationship with God. Christ provided this way through His death, burial and resurrection. Christ is the one who calls and speaks to His sheep. Have you believed, received and repented to Christ as the only way for your salvation? Good works is another way, and therefore it is not a way. Religious acts is another way, and therefore it is not a way. This is the reason I speak about false religions, they produce another way, and set people on a comfortable path to hell. Your salvation is only real if it is totally through Christ alone.
I pray as we read God’s Word we hear God’s voice. Verses 25-30 are wonderful verses explaining eternal salvation by Christ. Christ knows us. Eternal life is given to us by Christ. We shall never perish. No one is able to take us out of the hand of Christ, remember He holds on to us. To top it off, the Father’s hand is around Jesus’ hand and Jesus tells us His Daddy is stronger than any other Daddy. Isn’t it great that our Father can beat up any other father on this playground of life called earth? How awesome is our salvation!
Jesus is not someone who can be ignored. This is why the Jews wanted to kill Him. Christ is either God, or a blasphemer that needed to be killed. This is why the world still hates Christ. This is why Satan made a religious way to receive Christ. You cannot deny Jesus is Lord. Abandon all for the sake of Christ…He abandoned all for your sake.
