Jesus’ friend, whom He loved, was sick and Jesus waited.  Jesus waited two days before He went to Lazarus.  They sent word to Jesus, that Lazarus was sick; it was Mary, whom anointed Jesus, sending the request.  They believed the answer should have come quickly, and their request met according to their desires.  But God had a different plan.  God’s plan was to allow them to see Lazarus suffer and die.  God’s plan was to let the family mourn for the loss of Lazarus.  God’s plan was even to push them to the place where they somewhat blamed Jesus.  Mary in Verse 21 said, if you would have been here!  Jesus even cried for them and their situation.  Jesus was saddened by this, but yet it all was allowed.  Don’t think for one moment God’s plan will never bring sadness or struggles, they may and most likely will.  But always remember God sees eternity past and future, He knows what He is doing.  Tell your heart and mind right now Jesus knows what He is doing and my life belongs to Him.

Remember God’s plan is not to bring you happiness, but He does bring us joy.  God’s not working around your schedule, or seeking to just bless you.  God is the center of the universe, we are not.  God does not revolve around our day looking to work in some obscure way.  God has a plan.  God is in control. When it feels like everything is out of control remember God is still holding it all together.  God will use it for good and for His glory.  Just hang on, when you think the expiration day has passed and there is no hope.  Just hang on, when it stinks and it looks helpless.  Because that’s when God may show up, speak up and shine.  God wants you to experience Him deeper.  To have a healing, someone has to be sick.  So walk with the Lord, even in the valley.  Guess what we have learned?  God is God, even over death.  But someone had to die for Christ to show His authority and power.
